Game Design Course Dungarvan WaterfordThis 14 week crash course, based in Midleton, Co. Cork, covers the fundamentals of 2D & 3D game development and design, including 3D Modelling & Animation, 2D game art creation ( Adobe Photoshop ), computer game logic programming, and rudimentary sound design. By the end of the course, the learner will have a 2D & a 3D game prototype, and will have acquired a new skill set for game development & design.  If you already know the basics of game design and programming, you might consider taking the advanced course.

Who's This For?

Everyone who would like to learn the fundamentals of game creation. Over the duration of the course the lessons, tutorials and practice sessions will aid you greatly in building a firm foundation of game development & design skills.

What Will I Learn?

Everything you need to know to develop your first 2D & 3D computer games. You will also be capable of publishing that game to Flash, Desktop, IOS & Android respectively.

How Long Does it Run For?

It is a 14 week evening programming, which runs twice a year, in January and September, 7:00PM - 10:00PM, on Wednesday Evenings.

Where is it Held?

The Course is run at St. Coleman's College, Midleton, Co. Cork. It is taught by Richard Sneyd, founder of CyberMyth Games.

How Is it Certified?

Upon successful completion of the course, you (the learner) will receive a FETAC Level 5 Minor Award in Games Analysis & Design.

Progression?

Graduates of this course can progress onto our advanced game development and design course, which runs on Tuesday evenings.
